Environmental and Natural Resources

Test, identify, and manage the air, water, soil, and wildlife of our shared environment.

The Environmental and Natural Resources Career Development Event challenges students to evaluate environmental quality and natural-resource management — from water and soil testing to species identification and management decisions.

What students do

  • Conduct water, soil, and environmental quality tests
  • Identify wildlife, plants, and natural resources
  • Use GPS, maps, and field equipment
  • Solve real environmental management scenarios

Why it matters

Stewardship is science. Students build the field, lab, and analytical skills behind careers in conservation, environmental science, and natural-resource management.
