1.01 Rain, Rain Don’t Go Away…Germinate My Seeds Today

This is Lesson 1.1 (“Rain, Rain Don’t Go Away… Germinate My Seeds Today!”) of the Plants and Gardening unit in the Grow Your PALS Program Guide, part of The National FFA Mentoring Program. Through teacher-led discussion and two hands-on experiments, students learn that water is required for seed germination and observe and describe the differences among edible seeds, with a closing flower-puzzle review activity. It is designed as a large-group lesson with a scripted facilitator guide, transparency masters, an assessment, and answer key.
