1.03 Biotechnology, Who Knew

“Biotechnology, Who Knew?” is a middle school agricultural literacy lesson (MS.CAS.1.3) in which students explore careers in biotechnology. After an interest approach using a true/false headline game, students research the career preparation requirements for biotechnology, select five biotechnology careers, and create a hanger mobile describing one career’s name, description, salary range, environment, and training.

  • Colored or plain paper for mobiles – various sizes and shapes or allow them to be creative

  • Computer lab or library resources related to biotechnology careers
