1.04 Careers in Environmental Systems
This middle school lesson (MS.CAS.1.4 “Careers in Environmental Systems”) is part of the Middle School Food and Agricultural Literacy Curriculum and introduces students to five careers in the environmental services system: environmental conservationist, environmental scientist, environmental educator, soil conservationist, and water resources manager. Through brainstorming, a gallery-walk of career posters, and a flier-creation activity, students research job titles, descriptions, training requirements, working conditions, and salary ranges to support career exploration and decision-making.
