1.08 Creating Artwork With Seeds
This is Lesson 1.8 (“Creating Artwork with Seeds”) from the Grow Your PALS Program Guide, part of the National FFA Mentoring Program’s Plants and Gardening unit. In this small-group lesson, students learn to define germination, identify the three basic parts of a seed (embryo, seed coat, and supply of nutrients), and explain how the young plant is fed by the seed’s stored nutrients, then complete a hands-on “Writing with Seeds” activity using quick-sprouting seeds.
