1.1 Mapping My Food

“Mapping My Food” is a middle school food and agricultural literacy lesson (Lesson MS.FS.1.1) in which students construct an animal food product pathway tracing how products from beef, pork, poultry, and dairy travel from farm to fork. Through a mapping interest approach, group poster creation using description cards, and a review activity, students learn the four pathway segments: production, processing, distribution, and marketing.
