1.1 Personal Responsibility
This is a “Reaching New Heights” leadership development lesson (RNH.1.1) titled “Personal Responsibility,” part of an Advisor’s Guide to personal growth and leadership. It introduces students to personal responsibility and its connection to peer pressure and teen issues, using discussion scenarios, a banana split responsibility activity, and a student worksheet to teach decision-making and accountability.

- The day before this lesson will be taught, assign each student items to bring so that each may make a banana split. (Ex. bowls, spoons, napkins, ice cream, bananas, various toppings.)

- The purpose of this lesson is to introduce students to the subject of personal responsibility and the role it plays in peer pressure and teen issues.
