This middle school lesson (MS.NR.1.1) from the Pork Checkoff Food and Agricultural Literacy Curriculum introduces students to the difference between renewable and non-renewable natural resources. Through an interest approach using vehicle images, group discussions, sorting activities, and a nursery-rhyme review, students learn to identify five examples of each resource type. The lesson includes transparencies/handouts, an assessment with answer key, and extension activities.
