1.12 How Do Plants Drink
“How Do Plants Drink?” is a small-group lesson from the National FFA Mentoring Program’s Grow Your PALS Program Guide (Unit: Plants and Gardening). Students build a model “Straw Flower” with a paper-towel core and place it in colored water to observe how water moves up the stem, learning to draw conclusions from the experiment and define capillary action.
