1.29 Heavy or Light: Measuring Weights
This is Lesson 1.29 (“Heavy or Light? Measuring Weights”) from the Grow Your PALS Program Guide, part of the National FFA Mentoring Program’s Mathematical Applications unit. In this large-group lesson, students define balance and weight, build a working scale from a hanger and egg carton to compare the weights of birdseed and beans, and explore how water affects an object’s weight by comparing dry and wet beans.
