1.4 Fact or Foe – Consumer Perceptions

This middle school food and agricultural literacy lesson (“Fact or Foe: Consumer Perceptions,” Lesson MS.FS.1.4) teaches students how public perception correlates with consumer concerns about food safety and producer marketing concerns. Using a “Little Professor” peer-teaching strategy, guided notes, and a skit activity, students learn key concepts such as perception, consumers, reliable resources, Animal Disease Traceability, and Country of Origin Labeling (COOL).
