1.7 Potato People
“Potato People” is Activity 1.7 in the Teamwork unit of the National FFA “Grow Your PALS Program Guide,” a mentoring program activity. Students and their PALS create a population of potato people with different traits using craft supplies, then discuss how those differences illustrate the concept of diversity and why diversity is important in a population.

- Ribbons – a few inches each of various types
- Colored felt – One to two squares
- Toothpicks – One container
