2.1 Economic Impact of Agricultural Issues
This middle school lesson (MS.AI.2.1) from the Pork Checkoff Food and Agricultural Literacy Curriculum teaches students how current issues impact the agricultural economy. Through a “telephone” game, supply-and-demand graph analysis, and a graphic-art word activity, students explore cause-and-effect relationships, supply and demand, and how technology, global population, and land use affect agriculture. The lesson concludes with a short-essay assessment connecting these economic concepts.
