2.13 The Journey of Food, From Field to Fork
This is Lesson 13, “The Journey of Food, from Field to Fork,” from the Grow Your PALS Program Guide (National FFA Mentoring Program) within the Agricultural Awareness unit. The large-group lesson teaches students how transportation moves agricultural products from the farm to consumers, using activities, a matching worksheet, and a story about “Jonny the Popcorn Kernel” to trace popcorn’s path from the farm to the movie theater.
