2.16 Tricks of the Trade
This is Lesson 16, “Tricks of the Trade,” from the National FFA Mentoring Program’s Grow Your PALS Program Guide (Agricultural Awareness unit). Using an apple cut into pieces to demonstrate how little of the Earth’s surface is available to produce food, the small-group lesson teaches the relative proportion of agricultural land and the importance of trade. PALS partners research the agricultural goods that various countries import from and export to the United States, then share their findings with the group.
