2.49 Let’s Talk Tree Growth
This is Lesson 49 (“Let’s Talk Tree Growth”) from the Plant Science unit of the National FFA Mentoring Program’s Grow Your PALS Program Guide. In this small-group, hands-on lesson, students play an estimation game and then go outdoors to estimate a tree’s height using a pencil-and-pacing method and measure its circumference with a flexible tape measure, discussing how foresters, landscapers, and researchers use tree-size information.
