2.5 How Are Sheep and Goats Raised – Sheep and Goat Production Systems

This middle school lesson teaches the four production systems used for raising sheep and goats: Purebred Flock, Commercial Flock, Farm Flock, and Range Band. Students brainstorm differences in human living environments as an analogy, take notes on the production systems, create a mind map/web diagram, and complete a quiz to assess understanding.
