2.7 Researching Plant Growth Conditions

This middle school lesson (MS.AST.2.7, “Researching Plant Growth Conditions”) teaches students to design an agricultural research project using the scientific method through a hands-on seed germination lab. Students review factors that influence plant growth, form a hypothesis, conduct a five-day test recording observations, and draw conclusions. It is part of the Middle School Food and Agricultural Literacy Curriculum (Pork Checkoff) and includes teacher transparencies, a lab report sheet, and an assessment.
