3.1 How Food Moves From Farm to You

This primary-level lesson, part of the Food for America “Unit 3: Distribution” series, teaches students how agricultural products move from farm to consumers through transportation. Using a read-aloud story about Maria and Cob the ear of corn and two activity sheets, students learn at least three ways food travels and trace the journey of pasta from farm to table.
