3.1 Vehicle Technology

This is an agricultural education lesson (Renewable Fuels, Vehicle Technology, Unit 3 Lesson 1) on ethanol-powered vehicles. Students learn the economic and environmental needs driving ethanol vehicle development, identify which manufacturers produce ethanol/flex-fuel vehicles, and recognize reasons ethanol vehicle use will continue to grow in the U.S. and Brazil. The lesson uses guided notes, a “$10,000 Pyramid” review game, and a “Picasso Moment” drawing activity, followed by an assessment.
