3.17 Breathe Easy
This is Lesson 3.17 “Breathe Easy” from the Grow Your PALS Program Guide (The National FFA Mentoring Program), part of the “Making Good Choices” unit. The large-group lesson teaches students about respiration, has them conduct a breathe balloon test, and uses memory tests and a cigarette/cotton-ball demonstration to illustrate the harmful effects of smoking and drugs and the importance of making good choices for a healthy lifestyle.
