3.18 When the Immune System Is Jeopardized
This is Lesson 3.18 (“When the Immune System is Jeopardized”) from the National FFA Mentoring Program’s Grow Your PALS Program Guide, part of the “Making Good Choices” unit. Through a hands-on town-construction activity, role-plays, and writing exercises, students learn about the elements of blood (red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets) and the immune system, how HIV/AIDS affects the body, and how to recognize and avoid health-threatening situations.
