This middle school lesson (MS.NR.3.2, “My Water’s Been Where? Understanding the Water Cycle”) teaches students about the water cycle as part of the Middle School Food and Agricultural Literacy Curriculum. Students illustrate the water cycle and learn the processes of evaporation, transpiration, condensation, and precipitation through discussion, a jar demonstration, and an activity sheet. The lesson uses a morning-routine flowchart analogy and includes an assessment to reinforce the vocabulary and importance of the water cycle.
