3.20 Substance Abuse Influences
This is Lesson 3.20 (“Substance Abuse Influences”) from the National FFA Mentoring Program’s Grow Your PALS Program Guide, part of the “Making Good Choices” unit. Through discussion, a hand-motion vocabulary activity, and a cookie role-play, students learn to identify internal and external influences that affect behavior and decisions, and understand that internal influences stem from personal values. The small-group lesson helps students recognize peer pressure and make ethical decisions related to substance abuse.
