3.36 First Aid and Survival Kits
This is Lesson 3.36 (“First Aid and Survival Kits”) from the National FFA Grow Your PALS Program Guide, a one-on-one mentoring lesson in the Miscellaneous unit. It teaches students to identify the common contents of a first-aid kit and the basic contents of a winter survival kit, including a discussion of hypothermia, and includes an interest approach, teaching strategies, and a true/false assessment.

- First aid kit items: adhesive bandages, antiseptic wipes, blanket, non-latex gloves, gauze pads, first aid scissors
- Survival kit items: backpack, large candle, waterproof matches, dried soup, nutrition bars and nonperishable food, metal eating utensil and cup, compass, signal mirror, small rope or cord, emergency blanket
