3.4 Crunching Numbers – Food Science Style

This Middle School Food and Agricultural Literacy lesson (MS.FS.3.4), “Crunching Numbers – Food Science Style!”, teaches students to apply math concepts related to food marketing and economics. Using a “Price is Right” interest approach and an Einstein e-Moment activity, students build and apply the equation DV+PV/$ = >1 (Demonstrated Value plus Perceived Value divided by Price), and connect product first impressions to personal first impressions.
