3.6 If You’re Ripe, You’ll Rot – Personal Growth Plans
This middle school agricultural literacy lesson, “If You’re Ripe, You’ll Rot! – Personal Growth Plans,” teaches students to create their own personal growth plan using the F.I.R.S.T. system (Focus, Identify/Implement, Reflect, Seek feedback, Transfer). Through an interest-approach post-it note activity and a classroom envelope search, students learn that continual growth requires a deliberate plan and then draft specific goals for leadership and personal growth across areas such as body, mind, heart, and school.
