4.2 Are You Coming In or Going Out

This middle school agricultural literacy lesson, “Are You Coming In or Going Out?” (MS.IAS.4.2), teaches students to compare importing and exporting practices related to agricultural commodities. Through a barbeque-trading interest approach, world map activity, and motion-based memory techniques, students learn definitions of import and export, identify top U.S. imports and exports and trading partner countries, and explore the concept of a positive agricultural trade balance.
