7.1 Stewardship and Accountability
This middle school lesson, part of the Pork Checkoff Middle School Food and Agricultural Literacy Curriculum (Introduction to Agricultural Science: Stewardship), teaches students the concepts of stewardship and accountability. Students define stewardship as the responsible management of something entrusted to one’s care, and explain personal and social accountability, connecting these ideas to environmental responsibility through discussion, a “weather report” group activity, and a colored-card review.
