7.4 Reducing Negative Environmental Impact

This middle school lesson (MS.NR.7.4) from the Middle School Food and Agricultural Literacy Curriculum teaches students about reducing negative environmental impact. Through an interest approach with paper wads, group brainstorming activities, and a Picasso e-Moment illustration exercise, students identify examples of negative environmental impact and describe ways to reduce them, such as recycling paper and conserving energy. The lesson is part of the Natural Resources Science: Natural Resource Stewardship unit.
