Bacteria Cupcakes

A Food for America demonstration plan on food safety in which FFA members visit an elementary classroom to teach the importance of hand washing. Through a skit about a student named “Joe,” incubated Petri dish bacteria samples, and microscope observation, students connect unwashed hands and bacteria to food-borne illness before washing up and eating cupcakes.
