Commodity Relay

A Food for America demonstration plan featuring “Commodity Relay,” a hands-on relay race that teaches students how food is distributed from the farm to the grocery store. Students take on roles such as farmer, truck driver, processor, and grocery store clerk to pass potatoes down the distribution line, with simplified roles for lower grades and added steps for upper elementary.
