Erosion Control Model
A “Food for America” demonstration plan from the Environment unit in which the teacher builds and presents an erosion control model to students. Using soil, a fan, and a watering can, the demonstration shows the two main types of soil erosion (wind and water) and illustrates how planting crops or ground cover helps farmers prevent erosion.
