HS.39 Keeping a Job
This LifeKnowledge lesson (HS.39 “Keeping a Job”) teaches high school students the employability skills that make a valuable employee, based on the personal qualities identified in the SCANS report, along with common reasons people get fired. Through discussion, small-group activities, and interactive review techniques, students learn to list and explain key workplace skills and identify behaviors that lead to job loss.
