Lesson 1 – Discovering Career Options

This is a lesson plan (Lesson 1: Discovering Career Options) from the Career Exploration 10th-12th Grade Series, designed for use within a substitute teacher guide. Students explore agricultural career opportunities by connecting their current unit of study to related National FFA proficiency areas, brainstorming careers, and conducting an internet/print search for actual job listings. The lesson includes a supporting Activity Sheet (2.2) listing 2005 Proficiency Award Area Descriptions.
