Lesson 1 Hunger – Locally and Globally
This lesson, part of the “Today’s Challenges; Today’s Leaders: Real World Conversations for the Classroom” series, examines the hunger epidemic both locally (in the U.S.) and globally. Students read real-life stories of young people and families suffering from hunger, then complete worksheets capturing U.S. and world hunger statistics to develop compassion and an understanding of how they can help reduce hunger in their communities and worldwide.
