Lesson 14 – From Field to Faucet – Nutrient (N-P) Management and Source Water Protection

This is Lesson 14 (“Sources of Drinking Water”) of the “From Field to Faucet: Nutrient (N/P) Management and Source Water Protection” curriculum. Students apply the steps of scientific inquiry to develop research questions and design a study investigating whether manure loss into agricultural tile drainage lines threatens source water, using “smoking drain tile” demonstration videos and a group worksheet. The lesson connects nutrient management, soil drainage, and drinking water protection.
