This is Lesson 2, “Principles of Assistive Technology,” from the Assistive Technology for Rural Youth curriculum by Purdue University’s Breaking New Ground Resource Center and the National AgrAbility Project. It introduces students to the concept of assistive technology (AT) and the role it plays in the lives of people with disabilities, using a defined term, hands-on exercises, and a survey of the basic categories of AT with product examples in each.
