Lesson 3: Communicating Like a Pro

This lesson, “Communicating Like a Pro” (TCTL.2.3) from the National FFA “Today’s Challenges; Today’s Leaders” series, teaches students professional communication skills. It introduces a five-component model of the communication process (sender, channel, receiver, feedback, interference), explores forms of communication and barriers faced by advocates, and has students practice making positive first impressions through hands-on activities including “Crazy Communication Cards” and self-introductions.

Purpose
The purpose of this lesson is to identify and exhibit professional communication.
