Lesson 5: Sustainable Change – Being a Leader in Your Organization

This lesson, “Sustainable Change: Being a Leader in Your Organization” (TCTL.3.5), helps students understand how their leadership can influence sustainable, positive change within an organization. Through a handwriting activity, discussion of change quotes, examples of major changes in the FFA and other organizations, and application of Kotter’s 8-Step Change Model, students learn to plan and lead change. Students complete worksheets identifying a positive change they would like to make in an organization they belong to and work through the steps to make it happen.
