Lesson 5: A Helping Hand

“A Helping Hand” (Lesson 5 of 6) is a National FFA Organization quick lesson plan that teaches students about philanthropy and the public, private, and civic responsibilities involved in addressing food insecurity and hunger in the United States. Through worksheets, videos, organization research, social media creation activities, and exploration of Feeding America and AgExplorer, students learn to describe philanthropy, identify philanthropic options, and illustrate philanthropy’s impact—including related careers.
