Lesson 7 – Marketing
This is a National FFA/Valent USA marketing lesson plan (7 of 8 in a series) in which students learn the importance of sustainability across the Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources Value Chain while developing a marketing plan for a trail mix product. Using the Marketing Plan CDE as a framework, students complete activities including knowing their product, a SWOT analysis, identifying competitors and target markets, distribution, and developing company goals and a mission statement. Worksheets, answer keys, and a grading rubric are included.
