Mentor Workbook

The PALS Mentor Workbook is the training manual for the National FFA Mentoring Program (Partners in Active Learning Support), which matches high school agriculture students with elementary students. It provides the agenda, handouts, and reference materials used to train FFA members as mentors across six topic sections—introduction/goal setting, benefits and roles of mentoring, communication skills, building community, understanding youth, and contemporary issues in mentoring. The workbook contains all the handouts mentors need for training, including self-assessments, learning-style inventories, developmental-assets references, child-abuse/safety guidance, and a code of ethics.
