Problem Solving – Defining Problem Solving
This is a National FFA Organization LifeKnowledge middle school lesson (MS.49, “Defining Problem Solving”) focused on the mentor/protégé relationship as a way of making things happen and solving problems. Through movie/TV clip analysis, discussions, group drawing activities, and a personal action plan, students learn to identify the qualities and parameters of a mentor/protégé relationship and create an action plan to guide it. The lesson includes an interest approach, teaching strategies organized by objective, application/extension activities, transparency masters, activity sheets, and an assessment with answer key.
