Product Origin Map
This Food for America demonstration plan, “Product Origin Map,” is a 20-minute activity in the Trade and Marketing unit in which students act as “trade detectives” to find everyday items in the classroom and identify where they came from, marking the origins on world maps. It teaches that the items used daily come from many different places and that trade is important to agriculture, with adaptations provided for lower and upper elementary learners.
