Resumes: You’re the Boss

“You’re the Boss” is a quick lesson plan from the National FFA Organization in which students assume the role of a hiring manager for a plant nursery job posting. By comparing two sample resumes (Johnny Job and Susie Example) against the job requirements using a mini-rubric, students learn how to identify and evaluate resume qualities relevant to a specific job. The activity works well either before or after students create their own resumes.
