Student Activity Sheets – Lesson Plan 1 Food Contamination

A student worksheet packet on food quality and safety, published by the National FFA Organization. Through a bellringer news-article activity, a drawing exercise on the three sources of contamination (physical, chemical, biological), and a set of customer inquiry/complaint letters, students learn to distinguish food safety from food quality issues and identify hazard types. The packet concludes with students writing their own complaint letter and categorizing it.
