This LifeKnowledge lesson (HS.30) teaches high school students about factors that influence self-image. Students define “self-image,” explore its physical, emotional, and intellectual divisions, identify positive and negative factors that affect how people see themselves, and examine controllable ways to promote a positive self-image. The lesson includes an interest approach using magazine advertisements, teaching content, a personal asset evaluation, and an assessment.
