Chrysta Beck | 2017 American Star in Agriscience

Chrysta Beck of the Pettisville FFA chapter in Pettisville, Ohio, is the 2017 American Star in Agriscience winner. Her SAE evolved from raising broilers and laying hens into agriscience research on poultry production factors like light color, temperature, feed supplementation, and embryo development, eventually focusing on probiotics as antibiotic alternatives. Supported by her advisors, she plans to attend veterinary school and become a research veterinarian in the poultry industry.
