1.01 Job vs. Career
This middle school agricultural literacy lesson (“Job vs. Career,” Lesson MS.CAS.1.1) teaches students to distinguish between a job and a career as part of career exploration within the Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources career cluster. Through a card-sorting interest approach, a scavenger-hunt activity comparing time, training, full/part-time status, and salary, and dictionary-definition posters, students develop their own definitions of a job and a career. The lesson includes application activities, FFA/SAE connections, and an assessment with answer key.
